English Heritage’s Chair’s Salon Series gathered industry leaders, historians, and advocates for an evening dedicated to exploring how heritage strengthens communities. Hosted at Belsay Hall Castle, the event featured a powerful keynote from Dr. Dan Jackson, who spoke on the importance of investing in the North East and the vital role of heritage in the region’s future. Guests experienced a blend of historic surroundings, engaging discussions, and beautifully curated moments.

Illuminating History with Seamless Production

Sparq transformed Belsay Hall Castle with stunning internal and external lighting, enhancing its architectural beauty and guiding guests through the space. The front hall, main hall, and library were brought to life with elegant uplighting and lighting from above, while the castle’s exterior was illuminated to create a warm and inviting welcome. Taking centre stage at the dinner was a custom gold mirror table, custom designed by Sparq. Our dedicated team of technicians were onsite throughout, ensuring flawless execution of entertainment, sound, and event production from start to finish.

A Night to Remember

The evening began with a drinks reception featuring historic-inspired canapés, leading into an engaging TED-style talk before guests were seated for an exquisitely crafted three-course dinner in the main hall. As conversations and connections unfolded in this remarkable setting, the night ended on a truly breathtaking note—with guests stepping outside to witness the Northern Lights illuminating the sky, a spectacular and fitting close to a night celebrating heritage and its enduring legacy.
